Regenerative Medicine With Blue Umbrella Medical Center

Blue Umbrella is proud to offer Human Tissue Therapy (HTT) to help our patients recover faster and more effectively from pain, surgery, and injury.

HTT utilizes donated, processed human cells and tissues to promote repair and reconstruction. A variety of different cell and tissue types have been used for HTT, including:

  • Amniotic Tissue is used routinely for the treatment of topical wound defects
  • Human Collagen is administered routinely to address skin defects.
  • Donated Cartilage can address various joint conditions in the upper and lower extremities.
  • Tendon Grafts are routinely implanted to address sports injuries.
  • Human Bone Allografts are used for bone fusions in orthopedic indications.

Regenerative medicine is a modern, non-operative procedure utilizing the body’s natural ability to address many issues

HTT may involve either structural tissues or cells/nonstructural tissues, depending on the characteristics of the tissue in the donor. HTTs may only be used in the recipient patient for the same basic function as the cells/tissue functioned in the donor (homologous use). Some types of HTT may be used as a structural scaffold that supports the cellular activity required for reconstruction of the patient’s tissue.

Regenerative Medicine FOR URINARY INCONTINENCE

Struggling With Urinary Incontinence? PRP Can Help!

Regenerative medicine isn't just for joint pain and other orthopedic issues. At Blue Umbrella, we utilize platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to help people struggling with urinary incontinence take back control and live without fear of leakage.

PRP is a concentration of plasma created from your own blood. When injected into soft tissue that is damaged or deteriorated, PRP can stimulate your body's natural recovery process, signaling it to send more of your own cells to heal the area. For patients with incontinence, a PRP injection in the urethral area can help tighten the tissue and stimulate the natural regrowth of collagen, allowing better control of your urine flow.

If your quality of life has been affected by urinary incontinence, it's time to try something that really works. Blue Umbrella can help you take back your freedom.

Disclaimer: None of the statements on this page are intended to make any claims about HTT, but instead describe many of the basic functions of native human tissue. Per FDA Guidance, it is not necessary for the HCT/P in the recipient to perform all of the basic functions it performed in the donor in order to meet the definition of homologous use. Human Tissue Therapy, as we use that term on this website, are minimally manipulated cells and tissues intended for homologous use only. None of the mentioned statements have been evaluated by the FDA. As defined in 21 CFR 1271.3(c), homologous use means the repair, reconstruction, replacement, or supplementation of a recipient’s cells or tissues with an HTT/P that performs the same basic function or functions in the recipient as in the donor. Human Tissue Therapies are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease including COVID-19.
